light table

We are LOVING our diy light table. There is just something about the light quality.

For this activity, I put a bit of paint in a ziploc bag and duct taped it shut. That’s it. The kids loved these things! We used them on and off all day.

Some of our favorite ways to use these paint bags are:

  • using a finger to write letters, numbers, and words, and draw shapes
  • handprints
  • driving cars and trucks over it to make tracks
  • layering bags to explore color mixing
  • pressing wooden blocks to stamp shapes

These are fabulous for beginning writing skills and imaginative play. And they’re just fun. And beautiful.
